Tracey, if i remember correctly, ivana had eczema before (or is it something else?) if she had eczema, what did you do? looks like my little one has it now and i believe it's so itchy for her. if you don't mind, can you let me know what i can do to make her feel better. thank you!!!
@MMC: Yes, Ivana had eczema. Doctor told us to apply the hydrocortisone 1%, but didn't really work for her face... (her body is better than her face). Her skin is a lot better after she turn 2 or 2 and a half... not sure if she started to grow out of it or the product that we applied. We changed to put California Baby Calendula Cream, follow by Cetaphil cream, then aquaphor ointment for a few months. Her skin is a lot better, but the eye area still has some rashes when she rubs the eyes... The combo of Cetaphil and Aquaphor was recommended by two hospital here; then a friend of mine recommended California Baby... I found out the three products together worked for Ivana. Give it a try. Hope it helps. I understand how it feel when you look at your baby's not so perfect skin, and she wakes up scratching it.
I already using Cetaphil and Aquaphor ointment but they don't really help. She has it especially on her skin fold like neck, elbows, then arms and feet. So do you apply 3 together at the same time on where she is affected? So does that mean you mix them? I will try to give her California Baby Calendula Cream then. Thank you for your info!! Hope you have a great weekend.
@MMC: I used all 3 at the same time, layer by layer. California Baby first, then Cetephil, on the top cover with aquaphor. Aveeno Baby is good too. Well, we just bought every product to find which one could help her. I learned different "bath method" too. Doctor said bath for 20 mins. Some american use oakmeal bath to heal the rash. For Chinese, use 金銀花 or 片糖. I never use any one of those, but you can give it a try.
